So lets keep reading for intertesting info:

Extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding are widely used to produce hollow parts of small and large dimensions. Most engineers and manufacturers in the plastics industry can very well see the difference between extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding. They can very quickly check how to make a bottle or a product or how to make the type of plastic containers or products, but as a layman, most people may be confused about how to make a product. Here we will talk about how to find the difference between extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding.

This is a type of blow molding in which the plastic is first melted at boiling temperatures. This molten plastic is then extruded into a tube. This tube is usually hollow. A better term for it would be prison. Air is then passed through it so that the plastic takes the desired shape and inflates. The plastic is then allowed to cool. Once it has cooled down sufficiently, the mold is opened and the article is ejected.

Extrusion blow molding machine products include car gutters, road safety products, stadium seats and chairs, containers, trays, bins and tanks, coolers, floats, brackets, trim and doors, toys and sporting goods, watering cans and household products, and many other products

This is also a type of blow molding process where a polymer is injected into a center pin. This pin is then rotated to a blow molding station where it is cooled and inflated. It is the least preferred blow molding process because it is only used to make select items, such as small syringes.

The products of injection blow molding machines are bottles, dropper bottles, oval, cylindrical and round bottles, one-piece deodorant rollers, tablet and pill bottles and many other products.

The first difference lies in the type of product produced by each process. Extrusion blow molding produces a two-dimensional product, while injection blow molding produces a three-dimensional product as the final product. The second difference is in the die used in both processes. In the first process a die is used to obtain the final product, while in the second process a mold is used. The third difference is in the time it takes to produce the final product in the two processes. The extrusion process is slower, while the injection molding process is faster. The fourth difference between the two processes is in the type of scrap or residue that remains. In the first process, the scrap is with burrs and cutouts, while in the second process, the scrap is without burrs and cutouts. The fifth difference is the thickness of the machine used in both processes. In extrusion, part thickness depends on how much the material can be stretched during the process, while in intrusion it depends on the core-to-mold ratio.

Extrusion is considered an inexpensive process compared to injection molding. However, the quality of the materials used varies from extremely poor to excellent. Styrene is a very poor material commonly used for this process. HDPE is excellent, while PP and PC are moderately good for the extrusion process.

The quality of the four materials, namely styrene, PP, PC and HDPE, is excellent in the injection molding process. Therefore, it is a comparatively expensive process.
